RUN THE FUND

Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

Who we are

Run the Fund ("we") operates runthefund.com, a pre-launch page for a venture-capital simulation game. We are the data controller for the small amount of personal data described below. Contact: hello@runthefund.com.

What we collect

Exactly two things, and only if you join the waitlist:

If you never submit the form, we collect nothing. The site sets no cookies, uses no local storage, runs no analytics or tracking scripts, and loads no third-party resources. Our hosting provider may keep standard server access logs (IP address, timestamp, page requested) for security and capacity purposes, as virtually all web hosts do.

Why, and on what basis

We use your email and region interest for one purpose: sending you the waitlist emails you asked for. The legal basis is your consent — you gave it by submitting the form, our email provider confirms it by double opt-in, and you can withdraw it at any time.

Sharing

We never sell or share your address. It is stored with the email service provider that delivers our messages, acting on our instructions, and nowhere else.

Retention and deletion

We keep your details until you unsubscribe or until the waitlist is retired. Every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe; unsubscribing deletes you from the list. You can also ask us to delete your data at any time by writing to hello@runthefund.com — we treat unsubscribe requests and deletion requests identically.

Your rights

Depending on where you live — including under the EU/UK GDPR and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 — you have the right to access, correct, and erase your personal data, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your local data-protection authority. Since all we hold is your email and a region preference, the fastest path for any of these is an email to hello@runthefund.com. We respond to every request.

Changes

If we start collecting anything beyond the two items above — for example, if we add analytics or launch the game with player accounts — we will update this policy first and note the change prominently. Analytics, if ever added, will sit behind a consent banner.
